We believe the next generation of consumer technology should be useful, accessible, and built with restraint. Too much of what gets shipped today optimizes for the time it can extract from users rather than the value it delivers to them.

UMGAR exists to fund a different kind of work — products that solve real problems, treat their users with respect, and grow on the strength of their craft rather than the size of their budgets.

UMGAR designs, builds, owns, and operates consumer mobile applications. Today our portfolio is small and entirely in development: HYPE, FRIZORA, and OUSTAAD. Each one is a distinct brand with its own product surface, users, and story.

UMGAR provides shared legal, financial, design, and engineering foundations so each product line can focus on its users instead of its plumbing.

We're building UMGAR to be the parent company for a small number of high-quality consumer products — three today, more over the next decade. We don't intend to compete on volume.

We measure success by the durability of what we ship, the trust we earn from users, and the breadth of access our products create. We are not in a hurry, and we don't intend to be.
